Hi there! My name is John Eilermann, and I’m a comparative literature student living in St. Louis, Missouri. While others my age would choose to pursue college programs that are focused on business, management, communication, medicine and science, I opted for a program that touches all these.

The field I have taken an interest in deals with the study of literature and cultural expression across national, linguistic, and disciplinary boundaries. I carry the same goal as other comparative literature students, and that is to be able to read through different boundaries to give light and focus to what is said and written, whether it’s thought to be obscured by cultures and traditions.

When I’m not deep into the study, I still enjoy reading the works of C.S. Lewis and Roald Dahl who served as my inspirations back then. In addition to their books, I also read those by Ned Vizzini, Mark Salzman, and Nick Hornby. Another thing that takes my mind off things is blogging. I hope you enjoy reading my blog as much as I enjoy writing it.
